I would actually feel a little bad for her to end up here. All us weaklings that can't die and most of us got nothing worthwhile to show for it for like ya' boy in your visions does.
Well, Death as a cosmic entity... my guess is the significance of such a thing is that Death as a cosmic entity comes for all things: even the universe itself will eventually die, right? That's what we're taught in science. So even without seeing the vision, Death is an extremely powerful force that nothing escapes or can win against. So your vision self's fight with Death, even if it's a bit more wild and magical than the textbooks, is very telling of the power wielded.
However, we already know here death can come for all things but not win even once it sinks its claws in. You can view it however you live, of course, but if I was in your shoes and I was searching for some comfort and some hope that I have chance for things to be different, I would definitely find that comforting in the sense that my powers would be more regulated here.
It's not a given, I know. My vision self is dying, for example. He insists that I'll die just the same as him when the time comes, no matter what this world has decreed on the matter of death for people like us. But, it is a little comforting to me to think there's a chance it won't work like it does in the world my visions take place in.
Because we don't know, it's too easy to take that unknown as scary rather than hopefully. But, you can approach it with cautious optimism.
[ A small pause. ] You can also just go toss that ring off the boat, of course— I'm assuming that's the only reason you would run off with it, anyway.
But then, maybe it will fall into the wrong hand or even end up in yours again at the worst possible time. So maybe, if you want to get rid of it for now... put it in a drawer in your desk and don't open it for now?
[Unless you're considered the direct opposite of the cosmic entity of Death and are known as a creator of worlds and destined to become the sentient life force of the universe one day. Thanks, comics!]

[ well he's welcome to. Sam tried?! No one said he's actually good at preventing people from making bad decisions versus making them want to do the things even more. ]

He was pretty confident until he saw the fight with Death vision.
Re: DAY 268; early afternoon
A fight with Death personified or?
Re: DAY 268; early afternoon
Like Death, the cosmic entity over the entire universe.

Though I'd guess she could appear as whatever she wanted.

[ Considers the question. Afterall, if you want people to open up to you you can't dodge them when they come for you in turn. ]
Eh. I guess he means I'll still die from it even though we can't die.
