I think most people are also just coming into them? I didn't know my last blessing until I got here but... I've been this way forever. In any life, I guess.
[ but the rest makes his gaze turn determinedly to the window. ]
Mm... power is neither good nor bad, but it can be constructive or destructive.
Even the best of people with the best of intentions can cause harm to others. I think that's less about the power itself, though, and the moral and ethical aspects. So I would try not to look at the power itself as the problem.

[ Sam lets him run, but he's only going to like get out into the hall before a water spear materializes in his path and is going to shoot at him like a javelin to pin him to the nearest surface by his clothing— with actually pretty impressive accuracy to avoid harming him even if the clothing is well fitted. That said, even if the 'blade' touches him it'll skim and feel similar to a hard pressurized spray from a hose at worst rather than slice him.
Sam will step out into the hallway, either to come get him or chase after him if he manages to dodge and get past the situation before Sam gets there to scruff him by the collar. ]
[ SOMEHOW. Somehow this kid manages to use all of his physical ability to (unknowingly) dodge that javelin but it zooms passed him in a near miss - and the motion is enough to make him stop and look back in alarm and -
Well, that's enough because in the motion Sam is able to grab him and while he struggles to maneuver to let him go like the frightened fuzzy kitten his soul truly is he drops the ring with a clatter and forgets it in the moment of panicked, confused response that breaks his voice: ]
[ You would think that helps, but it doesn't. He doesn't think that whatever is supposed to happen has truly happened, but he's felt the difference. The feeling of the marble and now the ring - a few feet away - and what it most likely means. ]

I know a lot about his power and his family and it's - not really good.
Re: DAY 268; early afternoon
Re: DAY 268; early afternoon
His power comes from one of his mom's and even though she was considered a superhero... the whole world is pretty afraid of her.
Re: DAY 268; early afternoon
Re: DAY 268; early afternoon
He has, too. He's killed people he cared about - accidentally - but it still counts.

That's just it -
The power is the problem. Because they can do stuff without actually meaning to without even knowing how they do it- Without -

You're very worked up right now, but I promise you you're very safe even if you don't feel so yet.

Re: DAY 268; early afternoon
You—and everyone else— are safe currently.
Besides, if not worried for yourself, even more reason to calm down, don't you think? You don't want to make a mistake.
